Bath Spa is the city's main train station, a 7-minute walk from the Roman Baths and the medieval Bath Abbey.

Bath Rugby Club is also 7 minutes' walk from the station, and Bath Racecourse is 5 miles away. Buses to the University of Bath and Bath Spa University depart from Bath bus station or just opposite it (for the bus station turn left out of the train station's main entrance).

Trains depart regularly to Bristol Temple Meads. Services also run to London Paddington around every 30 minutes, and to Cardiff Central and Portsmouth Harbour hourly.
