Set in Birmingham's centre, close to the iconic Selfridges Building in the Bullring and a mile from the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham New Street is the city's main train station.

For the University of Birmingham campus: trains run to University station, or catch a number 98 or 99 bus from nearby Smallbrook Queensway.

Villa Park, home of Aston Villa F.C., can be reached by train in 10 minutes (depart at Witton train station).

There are regular services to London Euston and Birmingham International (for Birmingham Airport). Trains depart twice hourly to Manchester Piccadilly, Nottingham, Bristol Temple Meads, Liverpool Lime Street and Newcastle. There are also hourly services to Cardiff Central and Plymouth.
