Bristol Temple Meads train station is a 15-minute walk from the city centre.

The number 8 and 9 buses run from outside the station to the centre, Bristol University and Clifton (for Bristol Zoo and the suspension bridge). Catch the A1 for Bristol Airport, and the number 70 or 71 for UWE's Frenchay Campus. Ashton Gate Stadium, home to Bristol City F.C., is 2 miles away.

There are regular services to Bath Spa, and trains to London Paddington and Cardiff Central depart around twice an hour. There are also hourly services to Manchester Piccadilly and Edinburgh (via Leeds and Newcastle). A local train service runs to stations across the city including Clifton, Redland, Montpelier and Stapleton Road.
