During typical weekdays, two trains per hour run through Newhaven Town train station in either direction – to Seaford in Sussex, and to Brighton in East Sussex. Bus stops on Drove Road and across the river also connect with Beachy Head,  Bishopstone and Lewes. Shops and restaurants can be found a short walk northeast of the station. The town’s other rail station, Newhaven Harbour, is a 2-minute train ride south.
