Ryde Esplanade train station is set on the seafront, opposite Ryde Pier. It's the most central of the town's 3 train stations.
The station is next to Ryde Hoverport for passenger boats to Portsmouth. It's less than 10 minutes' walk from the town centre.
Trains run to Ryde Pier Head (for Wightlink ferries to Portsmouth) and Shanklin (via Ryde St Johns Road and Smallbrook Junction for the Isle of Wight Steam Railway) around twice an hour.
